The automatic exhaust valve is a device that releases gases such as hydrogen and oxygen during the heating process of HVAC systems, which can cause damage to the system and reduce thermal effects. Failure to exhaust these gases in a timely manner can have many adverse consequences. For example, corrosion caused by oxidation; The formation of air pockets in the radiator; The circulation of hot water is not smooth or balanced, causing some radiators to become partially overheated; Noise during pipeline operation with air; The vortex phenomenon of the circulating pump. So the exhaust gas in the system must be discharged in a timely manner, which shows the important role of using automatic exhaust valves.


Working principle:
When the system is filled with water, the gas in the water continuously escapes and accumulates towards the highest point due to temperature and pressure changes. When the gas pressure is greater than the system pressure, the float will fall and drive the valve stem to move downwards, opening the valve port, and continuously discharging the gas. When the gas pressure is lower than the system pressure, the float rises and drives the valve stem to move upwards, closing the valve port. The automatic exhaust valve is constantly circulating in this way.


Installation:
1. The automatic exhaust valve must be installed vertically, that is, it must ensure that the internal float is in a vertical state to avoid affecting the exhaust;

2. When installing the automatic exhaust valve, it is best to install it together with the isolation valve, so that when the exhaust valve needs to be removed for maintenance, it can ensure that the system is sealed and water does not flow out;

3. Automatic exhaust valves are generally installed in the pipeline parts of the system that are easy to collect gas, such as the highest point of the system or a section of pipeline, which is conducive to smooth exhaust.



Working principle of automatic exhaust valve:
When gas is generated in the system, due to its lower density than water, the gas will flow upwards along the pipeline and eventually gather at the high point of the system. Therefore, automatic exhaust valves are generally installed at the high point of the system, where the exhaust efficiency of the automatic exhaust valve is higher. When gas enters the chamber of the automatic exhaust valve and accumulates in the upper part of the automatic exhaust valve, the gas pressure increases as the gas inside the valve increases. When the gas pressure is greater than the system pressure, the gas will cause the water level in the cavity to drop, and the float will drop along with the water level. The exhaust port will open and start to exhaust; As the gas is discharged, the air pressure decreases, the water level rises, and the float also rises, closing the exhaust port.
