D81F and D81X stainless steel sanitary butterfly valves are widely used and suitable for flow regulation. Due to the significant pressure loss of butterfly valves in pipelines, it is approximately three times that of gate valves. So when choosing a butterfly valve, full consideration should be given to the impact of pressure loss on the pipeline system, as well as the robustness of the butterfly plate to withstand the pressure of the pipeline medium when closed, and the limitation of the elastic valve seat material to withstand working temperature at high temperatures. The structural length and overall height of butterfly valves are relatively small, with speed blocks for opening and closing, and good fluid control characteristics. Its architectural principle is most suitable for making large-diameter valves. When requesting butterfly valves for flow control, the most important thing is to choose the correct size and type of butterfly valve to make it work more effectively.

Usually, in throttling, regulating control, and mud media, short structural length and fast opening and closing speed are required. Low pressure shut-off, butterfly valve is recommended.

Operational principle

D81F and D81X stainless steel sanitary butterfly valves are a type of valve that opens and closes based on the rotation of the valve stem while driving the disc plate to rotate. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, mainly rotating the disc plate 90 ° for flow control. When the disc plate reaches 90 °, the valve door is in a fully open state, and the angle of the disc plate can be changed to adjust the medium flow rate. It is generally installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. Butterfly valves and valve stems themselves do not have locking capabilities. In order to effectively regulate flow, a worm gear reducer needs to be installed. Butterfly valves equipped with worm gear reducers not only have self-locking capabilities, but also can change the operational performance of the butterfly valve and more accurately regulate medium flow.

Matters needing attention

1. During the operation of butterfly valves, it is necessary to periodically perform full open and full close operations to maintain the flexibility and lubrication of all valve components and avoid rusting.

2. When closing the butterfly valve, if it does not close tightly, you can first fully open the butterfly valve again, use the pressure of the fluid in the pipeline to flush and remove impurities from the inner wall of the valve body, and then close the valve again.

3. Try to filter out impurities in the pipeline as much as possible to prevent the sealing surface from being crushed when the butterfly valve is closed, causing the valve to be unable to fully close, resulting in leakage and potential safety hazards.

4. The opening status of the butterfly valve disc should be greater than 15 degrees;, That's because if the butterfly valve is in a state with a large throttling range, the back of the butterfly plate is prone to cavitation, and there is a risk of damage to the valve.

5. When the butterfly valve is in the middle opening position, the operating mechanism needs to be self-locking.

6. To prevent mechanical damage to the butterfly valve, do not allow sediment, chemicals, humid gases, and other substances in the air to corrode the valve and affect its quality.

7. The threads, bearings, gears, and other working interface components of butterfly valves should be lubricated regularly.
