The function of pipeline flame arresters is to prevent the flame spread of flammable gases and flammable liquid vapors, and to prevent backfire and explosion caused by safety equipment. Usually installed on the fuel gas main pipeline in front of the furnace, it is a short pipe with a diameter thicker than the fuel gas pipeline and flanges at both ends. About ten copper wire mesh are vertically installed in the pipe and perpendicular to the airflow. Generally, a certain thickness of cast aluminum ring is used to press the perimeter of the mesh and form a certain interval. Due to the excellent heat dissipation performance of the copper mesh, when the flame encounters the copper mesh, it will extinguish due to a sharp drop in temperature, thereby playing a role in flame retardancy. Its main function is to allow flammable and explosive gases to pass through, and to prevent suffocation of flames from entering the storage tank from the outside. The characteristic of this type of pipeline flame arrester being able to be used under low temperature conditions in high-altitude and cold regions is that it can be paired with ventilation pipes or used alone. Suitable for storing Class A oil products with a flash point lower than 28 ℃ and Class B oil products with a flash point lower than 60 ℃, as well as for storing materials on dome top tanks sealed with nitrogen. The principle of gravel flame arresters and mesh flame arresters is the same as that used in pipelines.
Pipeline explosion-proof flame arrester is designed and manufactured based on the principle of extinguishing flames due to heat loss when they pass through narrow pores in thermal conductors. The pipeline explosion-proof flame arrester mainly consists of a shell and a filter element. The shell should have sufficient strength to withstand the impact pressure generated by the explosion. The corrugated filter element is supported by stainless steel, copper nickel alloy, aluminum or aluminum alloy. Ripple type flame arresters can organize violent flames of deflagration and withstand corresponding mechanical and thermal effects. They have low flow resistance and are easy to clean and replace.
The main performance of pipeline explosion-proof flame arrester:

The fire resistance performance is qualified, and there is no tempering phenomenon in the fire resistance test for 1 hour. 3. The shell water pressure test is qualified. Maintenance principles for pipeline explosion-proof flame arresters:
1) The flow direction mark on the flame arrester must be consistent with the flow direction of the medium.
2) In order to ensure that the performance of the flame arrester meets the intended use, it is necessary to carefully read the manufacturer's instructions before installing the flame arrester, and carefully check whether the label is consistent with the requirements of the installed pipeline.
3) It should be checked every six months. Check if there are any defects such as blockage, deformation, or corrosion in the flame retardant layer.
4) The blocked flame retardant layer should be cleaned thoroughly to ensure that each hole is unobstructed, and any deformed or corroded flame retardant layer should be replaced.
5) When cleaning the core components of flame arresters, high-pressure steam, non corrosive solvents, or compressed air should be used for blowing, and sharp hardware brushes should not be used.
6) When reinstalling the flame retardant layer, the gasket should be updated and the sealing surface should be confirmed to be clean and undamaged, without air leakage.
