The structure of a lift check valve is generally similar to that of a globe valve. The valve disc moves up and down along the centerline of the channel, with reliable action, but with high fluid resistance, making it suitable for smaller diameter applications. Lift check valves can be divided into two types: straight through and vertical. Direct lift check valves can generally only be installed in horizontal pipelines, while vertical lift check valves should generally be installed in vertical pipelines.
The disc rotation axis of a swing check valve rotates. Its fluid resistance is generally smaller than that of lift check valves, making it suitable for larger diameter applications. Swing check valves can be divided into three types based on the number of valve discs: single disc swing, double disc swing, and multi disc swing. Single disc swing check valves are generally suitable for medium caliber applications. When using a single disc swing check valve for large-diameter pipelines, a slow closing check valve that can reduce water hammer pressure is used to reduce water hammer pressure. Double disc swing check valves are suitable for large and medium diameter pipelines. The double disc swing check valve has a small structure and light weight; Multi disc rotary check valves are suitable for large-diameter pipelines. The structure of a butterfly check valve is similar to that of a butterfly valve. Its structure is simple, the flow resistance is small, and the water hammer pressure is also small.
Installation method
Lift check valve: a check valve with a disc sliding along the vertical centerline of the valve body. Internal threaded check valves can only be installed on horizontal pipelines, and the disc can be used as a ball on high-pressure small diameter check valves. The valve body shape of a butterfly check valve is the same as that of a globe valve (which can be used interchangeably with globe valves), so its fluid resistance coefficient is relatively large. Its structure is similar to that of a globe valve, with the same valve body and disc as the globe valve. The upper part of the valve disc and the lower part of the valve cover are processed with guide sleeves. The guide sleeve of the valve disc can freely rise and fall within the guide sleeve of the valve disc. When the medium flows downstream, the valve disc opens by the thrust of the medium. When the medium stops flowing, the valve disc falls vertically on the valve seat, playing a role in preventing the reverse flow of the medium. The direction of the medium inlet and outlet channels of the through butterfly check valve is perpendicular to the direction of the valve seat channel; The vertical lifting check valve has a medium inlet and outlet channel direction that is the same as the valve seat channel direction, and its flow resistance is smaller than that of the straight through type.
