operational principle: Stainless steel pneumatic ball valves have evolved from globe valves. It has the same 90 degree rotation lifting action, but the difference is that the plug body is a sphere with a circular through-hole or channel passing through its axis. The ratio between the sphere and the channel should be such that when the sphere rotates 90 degrees, it should all appear spherical at the inlet and outlet, thereby cutting off the flow.

1Stainless steel pneumatic ball valves can be tightly closed with only 90 degrees of pneumatic rotation and a small turning torque. The completely equal valve body cavity provides a small resistance and straight flow path for the medium. It is generally believed that ball valves are most suitable for direct opening and closing use, but recent developments have designed ball valves to have throttling and flow control functions. The main characteristic of ball valves is their compact structure, easy operation and maintenance, suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas, and also suitable for harsh working conditions such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene. The valve body of a ball valve can be integral or modular.
Realistic effects:
The working principle of stainless steel pneumatic ball valves is to rotate the valve to make the valve unobstructed or blocked. Pneumatic ball valves are lightweight, small in size, and can be made into large diameters. They have reliable sealing, simple structure, and convenient maintenance. The sealing surface and spherical surface are often in a closed state and are not easily eroded by media. They are widely used in various industries.
Stainless steel pneumatic ball valve and plug valve belong to the same type of valve, with only its closing part being a sphere. The sphere rotates around the centerline of the valve body to achieve opening and closing.
Stainless steel pneumatic ball valves are mainly used in pipelines for fast cutting speed, distribution, and changing the flow direction of the medium. Pneumatic ball valve is a new type of valve widely used in recent years, which has the following advantages:
1. The fluid resistance is small, and its resistance coefficient is equal to that of a pipe segment of the same length.
2. Simple structure, small size, and light weight.
3. Tight and reliable. Currently, plastic is widely used as the sealing surface material for ball valves with good sealing performance, and it has also been widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Easy to operate, quick to open and close, with only a 90 ° rotation from full open to full close, facilitating remote control.
5. Convenient maintenance, pneumatic ball valves have a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement more convenient.
6.When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium. When the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.
7. It has a wide range of applications, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, and can be applied from high vacuum to high pressure.
Stainless steel pneumatic ball valves have been widely used in various departments such as petroleum, chemical, power generation, papermaking, atomic energy, aviation, rockets, as well as in people's daily lives.
classification
1、 Floating pneumatic ball valve
The ball of stainless steel pneumatic ball valve is floating. Under the pressure of the medium, the ball can produce a certain displacement and tightly press on the sealing surface of the outlet end, ensuring the sealing of the outlet end.
The floating stainless steel pneumatic ball valve has a simple structure and good sealing performance, but the ball bears all the load of the working medium and is transmitted to the outlet sealing ring. Therefore, it is necessary to consider whether the sealing ring material can withstand the working load of the ball medium. This structure is widely used for medium and low pressure ball valves.
2、 Fixed ball pneumatic ball valve
The ball of stainless steel pneumatic ball valve is fixed and does not move under pressure. Fixed ball valves are equipped with floating valve seats. When subjected to medium pressure, the valve seat moves, causing the sealing ring to tightly press against the ball to ensure sealing. Usually, bearings are installed on the upper and lower shafts of the ball, with small operating torque, suitable for high-pressure and large-diameter valves.
In order to reduce the operating torque of pneumatic ball valves and increase the reliability of sealing, oil sealed ball valves have emerged in recent years. They not only inject special lubricating oil between the sealing surfaces to form a layer of oil film, which enhances sealing performance but also reduces operating torque, making them more suitable for high-pressure large-diameter ball valves.
3、 Elastic ball pneumatic ball valve
The ball of a pneumatic ball valve is elastic. Both the sphere and valve seat sealing ring are made of metal materials, with a high sealing pressure ratio. The pressure of the medium itself cannot meet the sealing requirements, and external forces must be applied. This type of valve is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure media.
An elastic sphere is obtained by opening an elastic groove at the lower end of the inner wall of the sphere. When closing the channel, use the wedge-shaped head of the valve stem to expand the ball and compress the valve seat to achieve sealing. Before rotating the ball, loosen the wedge head, and the ball will return to its original shape, creating a small gap between the ball and the valve seat, which can reduce the friction and operating torque of the sealing surface.
Pneumatic ball valves can be divided into straight through, three-way, and right angle types according to their channel positions. The latter two types of ball valves are used for distributing media and changing the flow direction of media.
Classification and characteristics
Pneumatic ball valves are divided into O-shaped ball valves and V-shaped ball valves. The O-shaped ball valve adopts a floating structure, with a precision casting core and a hard chrome plated surface. The valve seat is made of reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene material, and the flow channel is of the same diameter as the pipeline. It has great flow capacity, minimal flow resistance, and no leakage when closed. It is generally used as an on/off valve, especially suitable for high viscosity, fiber containing, and granular media; The V-shaped ball valve adopts a fixed structure, with a V-shaped notch on the core, which can achieve proportional adjustment, and the flow characteristics are approximately equal in percentage.
According to different process equipment, pneumatic or electric actuators can be selected to form pneumatic ball valves and electric ball valves respectively. For pneumatic ball valves, valve positioners are required to achieve proportional adjustment, while for electric ball valves, electronic electric actuators or servo amplifiers are required to achieve proportional adjustment.
From a material perspective, it can be divided into carbon steel ball valves, stainless steel 304 ball valves, 316 ball valves, and copper ball valves
In terms of application, it can be divided into high-pressure ball valves and low-pressure ball valves
High pressure pneumatic ball valve: mainly used in industries such as petroleum, natural gas, hydraulic oil, and construction machinery
Low pressure pneumatic ball valve: mainly used in corrosive pipelines with medium such as water!
