1、 Manual ball valves are mainly used in pipelines to cut off, distribute, and change the flow direction of the medium. Ball valve is a new type of valve widely used in recent years, which has the following advantages:
1. The fluid resistance is small, and its resistance coefficient is equal to that of a pipe segment of the same length.
2. Simple structure, small size, and light weight.
3. Tight and reliable. Currently, plastic is widely used as the sealing surface material for ball valves with good sealing performance, and it has also been widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Easy to operate, quick to open and close, with only a 90 ° rotation from full open to full close, facilitating remote control.
5. Easy to maintain, the ball valve has a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement more convenient.
When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium. When the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.
7. It has a wide range of applications, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, and can be applied from high vacuum to high pressure. When the ball rotates 90 degrees, it should be spherical at both the inlet and outlet to cut off the flow.
2、 Characteristics of Floating Ball Valves
Floating ball valve has a simple structure, mature manufacturing process, high degree of specialization, reliable performance, wide applicability, and low manufacturing cost. It is the preferred variety for DN150 nominal diameter cluster ball valves.
1. Full bore and reduced bore: Users can choose between full bore and reduced bore. The weight of ball valves is about 30% lighter than that of full bore ball valves, which can reduce pipeline load and reduce costs.
2. Upper sealing and anti blowing structure: The valve stem adopts an internal type, with a shaft shoulder and an upper sealing gasket (PTFE or reinforced graphite) to prevent the valve stem from blowing out and form an upper sealing structure.
3. Anti static structure: Soft sealed ball valves will generate static electricity during the opening and closing process, so anti-static structures are required for ball valves used in flammable and explosive situations.
4. Refractory structure: In the event of a fire, the soft sealing material burns and forms a hard metal to metal seal, effectively preventing the medium from flowing out and causing greater losses
