Commonly used valve materials
The classification of valves can be divided by function, material, structure, pressure, diameter, connection method, and transmission method. The classification based on valve material is a common method of classification. According to the material of the valve body, valves can be divided into metal valves, non-metallic valves, and metal valve body lined valves. And metal valves are the most common and commonly used valves.
Metal valves refer to valves made of metal materials, such as cast iron globe valves, cast steel gate valves, copper ball valves, etc.
The following lists the codes, Chinese names, applicable media, and operating temperature ranges of several stainless steel valve materials.
