Characteristics and troubleshooting methods of pneumatic ball valves and other types of valves

Compared with other types of valves, pneumatic ball valves have advantages such as angular stroke output torque, fast opening speed, stability and reliability, and wide application:
1. The thrust bearing reduces the Friction torque of the valve stem, which can make the valve stem run smoothly and flexibly for a long time.
2. Anti static function: There is a spring installed between the ball, valve stem, and valve body, which can export the static electricity generated during the switching process.
3. Due to the excellent self-lubricating performance of materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene and low friction loss with the ball, the service life of pneumatic ball valves is long.
4. Low fluid resistance: Pneumatic ball valves have the lowest fluid resistance among all valve types. Even for reduced diameter pneumatic ball valves, their fluid resistance is very small.
5. Reliable valve stem sealing: As the valve stem only rotates without moving up or down, the packing seal of the valve stem is not easily damaged by Sino foreign joint venture valve manufacturers, and the sealing capacity increases with the increase of medium pressure.
6. Good sealing performance of the valve seat: The sealing ring made of elastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene is structurally easy to seal, and the sealing ability of pneumatic ball valves increases with the increase of medium pressure.
7. The fluid resistance is small, and the full bore ball valve has basically no flow resistance.
8. Simple structure, small size, and light weight.

Functional classification:
1. Bypass valve: The ball valve usually opens in still water, so the bypass valve is set to first press flat, that is, both sides are filled with water;
2. Air valve: When filling with water, the float will automatically close the valve when filled with air; When draining water, it is used to replenish air, and the buoy lowers itself;
3. Pressure relief valve: When opening and closing the valve, drain the pressure water between the valve and the sealing cover to avoid wear and tear on the sealing cover;
4. Blowdown valve: Discharges sewage from the lower part of the spherical shell.

Features:
1. The three-way ball valve adopts an integrated structure in structure, with four sided valve seats sealed, fewer flange connections, high reliability, and lightweight design.
2. The three-way ball core is divided into T-shaped and L-shaped, with long service life, high flow capacity, and low resistance.

3. Ball valves are divided into single acting and double acting according to the type of action. The characteristic of the single acting type is that in the event of a power failure, the ball valve will be in the state required by the control system.



Troubleshooting:
The ball valve has been washed away by materials for a long time, resulting in friction and severe impact wear, which cannot meet normal production and shorten the service life of the equipment. At present, wear-resistant materials such as ceramic materials and polymer composite materials are commonly used for ball valve wear, and there are many technical systems used. The adhesion and wear resistance of polymer materials can safely solve the problem of frequent metal wear and ensure the normal production of enterprise equipment. Moreover, the special ceramic materials and surface strengthening agents in the materials make their wear resistance and physical impact resistance superior to any steel or even ceramic tiles in harsh dry grinding environments. The incompatibility between products and coal is to prevent accumulation.

Hard Seal Installation:
1) Remove the protective covers on both sides of the flange end and rinse thoroughly with the valve fully open.
2) Before installation, the entire machine should be tested according to the specified signal (electrical or pneumatic) to prevent vibration caused by transportation from affecting performance. The valve company can only install it online after passing the test (wiring should be based on the circuit diagram of the electric actuator).
3) Before preparing to connect the pipeline, residual impurities in the pipeline must be washed clean (these substances may damage the valve seat and ball).
4) Please do not use the actuator part of the valve as a lifting point during installation to avoid damaging the actuator and accessories.
5) These valves should be installed in the horizontal or vertical direction of the pipeline.
6) The pipeline near the installation point shall not sag or be subjected to external forces. Pipe supports or supports can be used to eliminate pipe deviations.
7) After connecting to the pipeline, tighten the flange connecting bolts crosswise according to the specified torque.

Application:
Due to the fact that ball valves typically use rubber, nylon, and polytetrafluoroethylene as seat sealing materials, their operating temperature is limited by the seat sealing material. The cut-off function of a ball valve is to press a metal ball onto a plastic valve seat under the action of a medium (floating ball valve). Under a certain contact pressure, the valve seat sealing ring undergoes localized elastic-plastic deformation. This deformation can compensate for the manufacturing accuracy and surface roughness of the ball valve.
