Ultra-thin design of knife gate valve with its advantages of small size, light weight, small flow resistance, no slag accumulation, easy installation and disassembly completely solved the problems of large flow resistance, space occupation, slag accumulation, difficult installation and maintenance of ordinary gate valve, flat gate valve, ball valve, globe valve, regulating valve, butterfly valve and other valves. As a result, a large number of universal cut-off gates and adjustable gates have been replaced by knife gate valves.

Suitable medium for knife gate valve:

Gold ore powder, tailings, ore samd, slag, coal slurry, sandstone, steel ash, pulp, wood pulp, cement slurry, fibre, dust, powder, grain, chemically treated sewage, slaughterhouse wastewater, urban sewage, precipitated oil, asphalt, silo export, fruit, grain, beer, beverage, oil, steam, gas transportation and so on Power plant water supply and drainage, slag discharge, etc.

Sealing instructions for knife gate valve:

1.Soft seals (unidirectional or bi-dirextional) with temperature resistance less than 280℃. The suitable medium is gas-liquid medium with strong fluidity and low density. Its advantages: strong sealing performance, not easy to leak inside and outside. Its disadvantage: contact with particles or high temperature media will cause sealing damage.

2.Hard seals (unidirectional or bi-dirextional) with temperature resistance less than 1000 are suitable for all kinds of hard media such as solids, dust and particles. Its advantages: strong wear resistance. Its shortcomings: poor sealing, not suitable for other and liquid media pipelines.
